Analysis of the nature and function of Nima Yoshij's poetic images
Abstract
Post-constitutional poetry has undergone changes and transformations at the levels of content, structure, rhetoric, language, etc. The self-awareness of poets regarding their social status, their attention to individual and social rights, the emergence of poetic individuality, and other factors caused political and social themes to enter literature and poetry in a wider way. Simultaneously with these developments and the arrival of romanticism, the nature and function of rhetoric also underwent changes. The poetic images, which in classical literature, often had a descriptive and aesthetic aspect, after the constitutional period, become a medium for expressing individual and social feelings and sometimes imply social concepts and themes. One of the poets who shows emotional sensitivity towards social issues and implicitly uses images taken from nature to explain social issues is Nima Yushij. The purpose of this research is to investigate the nature and main function of Nima's poetic images. The research method in this article is descriptive-analytical using library sources. The central topic of the research is, what is the effect of dealing with social issues along with the poet's mind to the various manifestations of nature in the poet's imagery? As a result, ambiguity and shadowyness, the dominant feature of Nima's poetic images and the implicit implication of the social and political issues of the age, is the main function of these images.
