Societies in Persian literature

Aims and Scope

The Journal of Literary and Social Research, in its outlook, considers research that falls under the two general approaches of "sociology of literature" and "social aspects in literature."

Sociology of literature is a branch of sociology and, like other branches of this science, approaches its subject in a systematic and impartial manner. The focus of this science is the relationship between the artistic work, the audience, and the social structure in which the work is produced and understood. Researchers in this field seek to discover the connection between the author's imagination in a literary work and the cultural and social traditions influencing the process of imagination and the production of that work.

Social aspects in literature is research on literary works to discover how sociological concepts are used in these works. In fact, in this type of research, the researcher tries to see how a writer or poet has expressed sociological concepts in literary language in their works, or how the conditions and circumstances of a historical period are reflected in a literary work.

Therefore, this journal welcomes any research that falls under these two general approaches, or that critically analyzes literary works using these two general approaches and their sub-branches, as introduced on the journal's homepage.
